ABOUT MODEST VENTURES

Modest by name.
Purposeful by design.

We’re Modest Ventures LLC. An Oklahoma-based design and development studio building digital foundations for people doing meaningful work.

WHY WE EXIST

The mission is yours.
The care is shared.

Organizations doing important work often outgrow the tools around them. The website becomes difficult to navigate. Reporting lives across spreadsheets. The same information gets entered more than once, and useful decisions depend on someone joining the pieces by hand.

We bring design, development, and search into one conversation, connecting the public experience with the systems behind it. Our aim is simple: make the technology more useful, so your team can focus on the work that brought you here.

THE STUDIO BEHIND THE WORK

A direct line.
A clear responsibility.

Modest Ventures LLC is the Oklahoma-based studio responsible for the work and journal on this site. Our public project records show the website work we have delivered for Cherokee County Health Services Council and Beyond The Sparks, with the scope and status of each project stated alongside the screens.

Your first conversation is with the studio. We agree who is involved, who reviews the work, and how decisions are shared as part of the project plan. Remote collaboration is available, and an in-person meeting can be discussed when the area and schedule fit.

Have a question about our work or a journal note? Contact us directly so we can explain the context and discuss the right next step for your organization.

A CLOSE WORKING PARTNERSHIP

Close to your team.
True to your vision.

We work as an extension of your team, taking time to understand your brand, the voice you use, and the vision you have for your organization. Those conversations shape the work from the first outline to the details people see and use.

Close collaboration brings your knowledge of the audience together with our design and development perspective. We share ideas early, make room for questions, and work through feedback together, keeping the direction connected to the people and purpose behind it.

A CONNECTED POINT OF VIEW

Understand the whole.
Build the right part.

A visitor looking for a service, a staff member reviewing a request, and a leader preparing a report can all be working toward the same mission. Their needs are different. We consider how those experiences relate, and give each one an appropriate place in the plan.

Sometimes the useful first step is a clearer public website or a more useful presence in local search. Sometimes it is a defined internal workflow or a reporting view that answers a recurring question. We help make that decision with the people who understand the work, then turn it into a scope everyone can review.

Our SEO work follows that same approach: understand how people find you, address the technical and content gaps, and make the results easier to review through Google Search Console. For eligible businesses, that can also include Google Business Profile care.

THE WAY WE THINK

Good foundations
are intentional.

01

Understand before building.

We ask about people, processes, information, and constraints before recommending a platform or drawing a screen. Useful discovery makes assumptions visible and gives the work a shared starting point.

02

Make the important things clear.

Plain language, purposeful design, and honest communication help people make decisions. We give the website’s visitors and the project’s reviewers a clear route through the information they need.

03

Care about what’s underneath.

Security, accessibility, documentation, and maintenance belong in the plan from the beginning. The public experience and the systems behind it each need defined boundaries and an owner for the next chapter.

WORKING WITH US

A clear process.
A shared responsibility.

The relationship matters as much as the deliverables. Here is what we plan for in an engagement.

A DEFINED DIRECTION

Know what the work is for.

We agree on the audience, the problem, and the intended next step. A project brief records the scope, dependencies, and decisions that need to be made before a release.

REVIEWABLE PROGRESS

Make decisions in context.

Reviews use representative content and working experiences. We discuss what a change means for the people using the system, then record the decisions that shape what comes next.

HONEST BOUNDARIES

Be clear about the responsibility.

We discuss sensitive information, project requirements, and operational ownership early. Specialist obligations and future phases are identified explicitly, with appropriate review arranged for the work involved.

CONSIDERED HANDOVER

Plan for the day after launch.

Content ownership, hosting, access, maintenance, and documentation are part of the conversation. The finished work should have a practical route for ongoing care and future changes.

WHERE WE WORK

Oklahoma is home.
A wider view is welcome.

Our initial focus is Oklahoma and nearby communities, with Oklahoma City and its surrounding metro at the center. We also welcome remote projects from the United States, Europe and elsewhere.

Each engagement starts with a conversation about the organization, the people involved, and the collaboration the project needs. In-person meetings depend on the area and schedule; remote reviews keep the wider team connected. We agree the arrangements and responsibilities as part of the project plan.

PURPOSE IN PRACTICE

Working with
community in mind.

Our current work includes the public website and an in-development portal for Cherokee County Health Services Council in Northeastern Oklahoma.

We also built Beyond The Sparks, a dating and singles-events website connecting people with event information and a personality-led experience. Different audiences, with the same need for a clear path from first visit to a useful next step.
